English: The picture shows the situation on the coast in Takoradi in the time of the planning for the harbour construction (10 August 1920). The Port of Takoradi was built in the 1920s by the British as the first deep-water harbour on the Gold Coast and was opened on the 3rd April 1928 solemnly. Today the city of Takoradi (Sekondi-Takoradi) extends here. The handwritten note on the photo marks the planned course of a railway connection between the harbour and the city of Sekondi.
Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt die Situation an der Küste in Takoradi in der Zeit der Planung für den Hafenbau (10. August 1920). Der Hafen von Takoradi wurde in den 1920ern von den Briten als erster Tiefwasserhafen an der Goldküste gebaut und am 3. April 1928 feierlich eröffnet. Heute erstreckt sich hier die Stadt Takoradi (Sekondi-Takoradi). Der handschriftliche Vermerk auf dem Foto kennzeichnet den geplanten Verlauf einer Eisenbahnverbindung zwischen dem Hafen und der Stadt Sekondi.
