But still the two disciples did not know him. As they came near the village to which they were going, he walked on, as though he -would leave them and go further. But they, supposing him to be some traveller, said to him, Come and stay -with us to-night, for it is near evening and the day has almost gone. Then he went with them into the house. And while they -were at supper Jesus took bread, and after he had thanked God for it, he broke it and gave it to them.
