An electrostatic loudspeaker comprised of a flexible wire mesh semi-rigid electrode and a flexible electrode with dielectric foil between them entrapping one or more strata of gas between one or more layers of foil and/or the flexible electrode. The structure is flexible enough to be rolled into a cylinder and used as a lampshade. The spacing between electrodes can be specified to provde bays of diffrenet spacings, to favor specified audible frequency bands.
