Français : Carte des îles Wallis (Uvea) par Samuel Wallis, 1773. Le capitaine Wallis aborde Uvea en 1767 et lui donne son nom. La carte est erronée dans ses dimensions (comparer avec File:Wallis_(topographic-fr).svg), mais indique la présence du lagon et d'une passe à l'ouest, ainsi que plusieurs petits îlots au nord et au sud, d'où le nom d'îles Wallis au pluriel. Il s'agit peut-être de la première carte de l'île de Wallis.

Cette carte est extraite du livre An account of the voyages undertaken by the order of His present Majesty for making discoveries in the Southern Hemisphere, and successively performed by Commodore Byron, Captain Wallis, Captain Carteret, and Captain Cook, in the Dolphin, the Swallow, and the Endeavor.
