Slow is a German based Swiss Watch [watch] company founded and headed by German entrepreneurs Christopher Nörskau und Corvin Lask in collaboration with Swiss Watch Designers Gabriel Guidi and May Margot.

[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]Slow was born in 2012 from the collaboration of Christopher Nörskau, Corvin Lask, May Margot and Gabriel Guidi, 4 friends that lived spread across the world coming from the e-commerce and the watch industries. It was born in 2012 of the desire of the founders to create a watch which symbolizes a mind-set - the mindset of slow, as an interpretation or a decision to focus on what is most important, to enjoy the moment and to stop the chase behind every minute and second. slow Jo was the first model by slow watches which displays the entire day in order to visualize time in a more natural way. In order to be a true symbol of this idea, the slow watch has only one hand that rotates once every 24 hours. It actually moves at half the speed of a normal watch, but allows one to see the progress of an entire day at a glance in order to give a better consciousness about the progression of the day.

“slow is not a speed. It's a mindset that most of us somehow lost. Let's make time to bring slow back into our life. Be slow...” the slow founders. slow watches were created to shift the way people read time. The assumption is that as a result of busy lifestyles, people forget that they actually have a choice of how to live. The slow watch should be a subtle reminder that time is a most precious thing and should help to have fun and focus on what counts- friends and family, explore the world, be passionate… and daily simple pleasures that are taken for granted. Slow’s innovative construction reflects also this philosophy with middle price time pieces that are easily accessible on the web but are also built to reflect balance and quality: perfect symmetry on all axes, the raised extra hard glass to create a vintage Look, high-quality materials and manufacturing in Switzerland.
Design:

The watches have a Swiss Made Ronda [[1]] Caliber 505.24H GMT Quartz movement [[2]] that originally has 4 hands plus the date, but only uses one hand that shows the 24 hour time in order to create a slow watch that is reduced to only one necessary component. The case is made of durable 316L stainless steel [[3]] with a distinctive form seen from all angles, is perfectly symmetrical. The glass on the dial is a raised, extra hardened (K1) mineral glass with antireflective coating to allow a crystal clear view on the dial and is extra resistant to scratches. In order to achieve a fully integrated case back, a top loader construction allows a fully integrated case back screwed with 8 screws to the case to ensure 100 meter water resistance [[4]]. This is the only place where the slow logo can be found -laser etched into the steel.
