[Quelltext bearbeiten]Leider ist bei der angegebenen Quelle keinen Hinweis zu finden, dass es sich um einen Fund von Naxos handelt. Auch Gill/Chippindale 1993, schreiben auf Seite 637 in der Fußnote zu Tabelle 16: Masters identified in other places are excluded, such as the Missouri Master (three identified figures of undeclared provenance, plus a vessel, "said to be" found together; therefore another "inadequate master"). - Die Fundsituation der Gruppe - das Nebeneinander von Violinen-Idolen und Plastiras-Figuren - kehrt in einem anderen naxischen Grab bei Akrotiri wieder. - Nach der Literatur ist es keineswegs Gewiss, dass der Fund aus Naxos stammt. Pat Getz-Preziosi: Early Cycladic Sculpture: An Introduction, 1994, Seite 20 “This group of modest works is reputed to have been found together, as the character of the marble, state of preservation, and workmanship seem to confirm. That they were also be carved by the same sculptor is strongly suggested by similarities in the outline contours, particularly in the area of the shoulders and upper arms. (A small beaker of the type illustrated in plate i was also allegedly part of the group.) The recovery of schematic and representational figures in the same grave is attested for both the EC I and EC II phases.” In Styles in Early Cycladic Sculpture, S. 64 schreibt sie: “In earlier publications I demonstrated that a small Plastiras figure and two small violin figures apparently found together were the work of one person: the Missouri Sculptor.” Auch Thimme schreibt auf Seite 570: „Da die beiden letzteren Figuren von Naxos stamen sollen, darf man wohl mit Preziosi annehmen, dass der Bildhauer ein Naxier war.“ Woher der Fund stammt steht nirgends. Ich würde deshalb vorschlagen den Artikel wie bei Thimme zu benennen und nach Grabfund der Grotta-Pelos-Phase zu verschieben. Viele Grüße --waldviertler (Diskussion) 12:50, 18. Jul. 2014 (CEST)
