I learned about this entry and became interested because the journal is based in two cities, including, near where I am, San Francisco. Its competitor is PLoS and in the grand scheme of things, the entry, I believe, has relevance and will have increasing relevance over time because open source scientific publishing is gaining traction and considered a wave of the future so that data is shared more thoroughly and rapidly, accelerating research and discovery. Open source publishing ties a little bit to the concept of a collaboratory, in which experimental data are shared for analysis.

I would vote to not delete the entry. If the discussion on that topic is occurring somewhere else, I apologize and permit anyone to copy over these comments to the right location.
