“Aforms2web solutions & services GmbH”, founded in 2007, is a software producer and a provider of form solutions in e-government and e-business based in Vienna. The company is, according to its own data, the Austrian market leader for electronic forms. .[1][2] Forming software makes it possible to submit applications via the Internet, facilitating the electronic exchange of documents between the administration and citizens.[3][4]

The company aforms2web was founded as a subsidiary of ANECON Software Design and Consulting GmbH and forms2web communications GmbH, a company of dpi Holding GmbH.[5] The managing directors are Peter Marvin Behrendt and Kurt Waldherr.[6]

In addition to the implementation, commissioning and maintenance of form systems, aforms2web also offers strategic advice on form management, standard consistency and standardised form design as well as the optimization of application processes. Aforms2web exports E-government knowledge to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.[7] The software products of aforms2web include the form server AFORMSOLUTION (AFS), form folders, AFS application mailbox, AFS form test, print form generator and various additional solutions. The AFS forms can be easily generated for online, mobile and print.[8]

The AFORMSOLUTION forms correspond to the Austrian Styleguide for eGovernment forms and the requirements for online dialogues. The company is the Austrian market leader in the field of electronic forms of public administration. [9]

The AFS forms comply with the guidelines of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) at the highest level (AAA), for designing barrier-free offers on the internet.[10] The forms are suitable for people with visual impairment, deafness, photosensitivity or even cognitive impairments. The forms generally are more user-friendly.[11][12] Since 2018 the IT company is award winner of the certificate "Access for All" (-AA-) of the Swiss based Access for all Foundation.[13][14]

The customers of aforms2web include ministries, state governments, cities and municipalities as well as downstream administrative organizations. Five of the nine Austrian federal states (Burgenland, Carinthia, Upper Austria, Salzburg, Styria) use the aforms2web software for their e-government form solutions. [15] Austrian universities such as the Johannes Kepler University Linz, Medical University of Vienna and Medical University of Innsbruck are among the customers of aforms2web.[16] In May 2016, aforms2web was able, after a procurement process of the social security chip cards operating and erection company m.b.H. (SVC), to obtain the Austrian Federation of Social Security Institutions. [17] This means that the form servers are used by all Austrian social insurance agencies.[18] The Federal Office for the Protection of Monuments for Promotion Contracts also benefits from the form service.[19]

The form solution from aforms2web, AFORMSOLUTION, is used in the Swiss cantons of Zug, Schwyz, Solothurn and in the city of St. Gallen.[20][21]

Liechtenstein[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]

The Liechtenstein National Administration uses AFORMSOLUTION to offer over 350 online forms. [22] According to the EU service guideline these forms range from simple application to specialized housing solution. In 2012, Liechtenstein was ranked 14th in the world's e-government development index. In the United Nations E-Government Survey 2010 report, progress is attributed to significant improvements in online services.[23]
