The book that cites "lashkari" as a name for Urdu cannot be read online[Quelltext bearbeiten]

آپ کے سارے تغییرات کو "اردو" کے صفحے پر 2019 میں بحث کرتے تھے۔ لگتا ہے کہ "زبان اردو لشری" اردو کا ایک مخصوص نام ہے جس کا مطلب شاعری زباں ہونے کے پہلے کی اردو ہے۔ یعنی "زبان اردو معلی" نہیں، لیکن عام لشکر کی اردو۔
جو کتاب آپ نے نظیر دیتے ہیں، یہ افسوس سے گوگل بوکس میں پڑھنے کے لیے تیار نہیں۔ اگر اس کے مرقوم صفحے سے اپنے موبیل کے ساتھ ایک فوٹو کھینچکر ہم کو بھیج دیں تو ہم سب کا مدد آئےگا۔ میرا ایمیل ایڈرس ہے:

Dear @AdillAdell:, meanwhile we have found the passage that you cite. I had written to you above in Urdu asking to mail it to me, but now I could read it already. Google Snippet shows the passage p. 120: “The very word Urdu came into being as the original lashkari dialect, in other words, the language of the army.” Now zabān-i lashkarī is Urdu for “army language” and synonymous to zabān-i ahl-i urdū “language of the camp people”. While it is well known that the second became the name of the language, this passage does not prove that Urdu ever was called lashkarī. It only tells us that it was an army language. Also, Aijazuddin Ahmad's book is a geography book and not a book on language history. If you could cite a book on the history of Urdu that states that Urdu still is called zabān-i lashkarī, i.e. “army language”, or that it was at some point of its development, it would be of great help to us.
