Willkommen / Welcome / Bienvenue / Bienvenido / Benvenuto!

Apparently you do not, or do not well understand German. This is a Welcome message to introduce you to the German Wikipedia, with the most important places and institutions, you may want to consult.

  • The embassy is perhaps the first place to go. There you can ask questions and get in touch with people who can translate your requests.
  • The German equivalent of the „Viliage pump“ is Questions about Wikipedia which can be used to ask questions and discuss matters of all kind about Wikipedia. Feel free to ask in you favorite language, but be prepared, that you might get quicker answers if you ask in English, than if you ask in more uncommon languages.
  • Common requests: Request to ursup existing useraccounts. Request a Bot flag.
  • You are also welcome to participate in the Adopt-a-user-program.
  • For your userpage: You might want to create your userpage and put some babel boxes on it, so everyone knows what languages you are speaking. For example: „{{Babel|en|de-0}}“ if you are a native English speaker, but speak no German at all.

How to help? One thing you could to, is to improve this very template (translate, fix errors, etc.), to be able to help more contributors, who do not speak German.

Again, welcome! --Church of emacs D B 18:50, 23. Feb. 2009 (CET)Beantworten

Spamming user talk[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Please stop spamming user talk pages, or you will be blocked. Thanks, --Church of emacs D B 18:50, 23. Feb. 2009 (CET)Beantworten

No problem. Such response is normally expected, however. The etiquette may be different on the German Wikipedia. Apteva 19:09, 23. Feb. 2009 (CET)Beantworten
Yes, the etiquette is indeed different here :) --Church of emacs D B 19:44, 23. Feb. 2009 (CET)Beantworten
Thanks. My knowledge of Germany is very low. A smile is always a smile all around the world, but other than that there is little that can be taken for granted. Apteva 20:03, 23. Feb. 2009 (CET)Beantworten
