2 Turniere in Forlì[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Entschuldigung, my German is quite bad and I write in English. The tournament archived in de.wiki as ATP Challenger Forlì was first organized in 2020 with the name Internazionali di Tennis Città di Forlì by MEF tennis events, the same company organized the first tournament in 2021. For the next tournaments, the owners of the club Villa Carpena assigned the organization to Asd Tennis Lab/Nen Events, company which organized 2 events in 2021 (on hard surface) and, so far, 6 tournaments in 2022 (the first 5 on hard court and the 6th on clay), all of them under the new name Città di Forlì. All of these tournaments have been under control of the Villa Carpena club, that just chose to change organizer and name. Anyway I see the de.wiki puts the 6th tournament of 2022 under ATP Challenger Forlì, but as a matter of fact it has been organized as Città di Forlì and should be part of ATP Challenger Forlì-2. So far, Italian wikipedia is keeping all of these tournaments in just one page, it:Città di Forlì, giving priority to the owners of the club because they choose the organizers. Sorry I could find only these sources written in Italian:

Mr. @Catgamer:, please let me know what you think about it, thank you. --Carlo58s (Diskussion) 15:48, 9. Jun. 2022 (CEST)Beantworten

Hi Carlo, thanks for reaching out to me.

Well, we also discussed that topic a bit because IMO it is quite confusing how to count those Forli tournaments. In the end we decided to go with the surface the tournaments were played on. As those in 2020, 2021 and the current running one are all played on outdoor clay we thought to count them in one column while leaving the ones on indoor hard in a separate branch. I guess both ways are viable options as your suggested approach concentrates more on the organizers of the tournaments while ours puts the surface more into the center of the count. So I would suggest both standpoints are ok as each centers a different aspect and as both are appropriate they also can IMO stay the way they are at the moment and no adaption of the count is necessary at this time. I hope you can understand my to cents on that and for further discussion feel invited to ask right away. Your catgamer Catgamer (Diskussion) 19:57, 9. Jun. 2022 (CEST)Beantworten

Thank you @Catgamer:, I have just realized that you replied few days ago, sorry. Please have a look at this interview to the vice president of the Villa Carpena club Ferruccio Tassinari, on this article of Il Resto del Carlino, the most important newspaper in Forli': he says that the last tournament played is the 6th tournament of the year. And then I found this article with an announcement on the website of the Italian Tennis Federation; it's the presentation of the last tournament of this year in Forli' by Mr. Ferruccio Tassinari and the organizers. It is very interesting and it makes clear the history of these tournaments. A part of the announcement is: "After all, the "Forlì Open", in its two years of life, has proven to be an incubator of talents destined to make their way into the ranking, starting with Lorenzo Musetti, winner of the first edition of 2020, organized in record time during the lockdown from a group of friends and tennis lovers." They actually claim that all the 10 tournaments played in Forli' since the first edition of the 2020 Internazionali di Tennis Città di Forlì until the 6th of 2022 are all editions of the same tournament. Please translate by yourself the whole interview and you will find it out. Cheers. --Carlo58s (Diskussion) 07:28, 18. Jun. 2022 (CEST)Beantworten
Thanks for further clarification Carlo. We might change the tournament order back in the future, if we see fit, but it is not our top priority atm. Regards, --Siebenschläferchen (Diskussion) 00:56, 20. Jun. 2022 (CEST)Beantworten
