Hi! Please take a look at the english page about Widmanstätten patterns. In my opinion should be mentioned that the actual discoverer of these figures is G.Thomson. - Basilicofresco 16:17, 24. Jun. 2008 (CEST)
- It is reflected now in that English Wikipedia article, and seems to comport with the many sources. Thomson discovered it first by a few years, but it became known as the Widmanstätten pattern, for a variety of emergent reasons, it would appear. [Schließlich fuhr er mit Johann von Österreich und Ludwig von Österreich-Toskana nach England.] Weshalb und für wie lange? Hat diese Reise eine besondere Bedeutung? Ich kann die Sinnhaftigkeit dieses Satzes im Zusammenhang nicht sehen.
