Did Furtwangler sack Geissmar?[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Sorry this in English. The article says that Furtwangler sacked Geissmar under Nazi pressure. This is not what she says on pages 147 and 148 of The Baton and the Jackboot. She says that two Nazis appeared in her flat suddenly one afternoon. They told her that unless she left Berlin immediately without ever contacting Furtwangler again, she would be arrested. Furtwangler was not present. It is unfair on Furtwangler for this statement to remain in the article. Neither had any choice in the matter. That's what happens when gangsters control all the levers of power. Normal people without guns and armies then have to do whatever they are told, or otherwise go to jail. Statements here should be cited precisely to reliable publications. Why not start with her own book? Budhen (Diskussion) 20:27, 25. Apr. 2014 (CEST)Beantworten

I have made this change. If there are errors in my German grammar, please correct them. Budhen (Diskussion) 21:54, 27. Jul. 2014 (CEST)Beantworten
