According to modern research it seems quite evident that fortress surrendered due to (i) low morale among officers due to wiedespread sceptisism that Sweden could succeed in the war against super powers Russia and france, (ii) the time of fortresses was coming towards an end - ref Preussian fortresses that basically all surrenderd very fast as well, and (iii) smart psychological warfare that depened the disbelief among the key officers at Sveaborg (including the most likely bribed officer Jagerhorn).

Further even though Sveaborg was an important piece in the Swedish war plan one should not overstate its' importance as the Russians could rather easily even have conquared Stockholm as well in 1809.

My german is not sufficient to make these changes properly...
