Problem zweier ACP-Domänen[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Mein Brief an UniProt bezüglich der Teilaktivität KAS I:

Hello,
you write in the activity comment
"Acyl-[acyl-carrier-protein] + malonyl-[acyl-carrier-protein] =
= 3-oxoacyl-[acyl-carrier-protein] + CO2 + [acyl-carrier-protein]"

There is no proof of this in PMID 7567999. Rather, the ref shows
that there can only be one ACP domain with PPT bound in the FAS dimer.
But even if there actually were two PPT in the FAS dimer (each bound
to each ACP domain) they would be too far away to be part of the same
reaction, according to PMID 2050137.

I cannot suggest a resolution except a different mechanism of all
KAS-I enzymes where one acyl moeity is bound to CoA instead of an ACP domain.

Regards,

Gruß. --Ayacop 11:02, 3. Sep. 2011 (CEST)Beantworten
