Biography / death of his father[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Oops.

I see a slight discrepancy between the Dutch wiki-page on Fredrick Brown and the German one. On the Dutch page his father dies seven years after his mother, in the German version one year later. The English page had no information on this subject. (nicht signierter Beitrag von 213.93.51.52 (Diskussion) 21:01, 1. Mai 2017‎)

Jack Seabrook, Martians and Misplaced Clues, The Life & Work of Fredric Brown, page 1: „In the spring of 1920, when Fred was 14, his mother took ill and died. He later recalled running through the streets of Cincinnati praying that she'd live, but no avail. He credited the failure of these prayers with the solidification of his lifelong atheism, although he may have had some influence in that direction from his father, who Fred said was an atheist as well. Fred spent the night with his family's Presbyterian minister – his parents had joined a church for his sake and made him attend from the ages of nine to 14, which he later called „the most mixed-up period of my life“ (Brown, „It's Only Everything“ 25–26).
Brown began working that summer, in between school years, at the Potter Shoe Company. His father, Karl, died the next year, in 1921, leaving Brown alone.“--Projowarp (Diskussion) 14:02, 8. Mär. 2019 (CET)Beantworten
