Non-existent[Quelltext bearbeiten]

The word "Mogambo" does not exist in Swahili. See the English Wikipedia article and Talk page of the same.

I agree having no knowledge of that language but I found some other citations from serious sources, e.g. an excerpt from a Clark Gable Biographie. I'm reluctant to remove that part from the WP article without getting a proof or indication that your statement is right. --GraceKelly 11:41, 30. Okt. 2009 (CET)Beantworten
I was born in Kenya and lived there for many years. On-line Swahili dictionaries will confirm what I say, that "mogambo" does not occur in Swahili. (nicht signierter Beitrag von 81.154.2.86 (Diskussion | Beiträge) 10:23, 31. Okt. 2009 (CET)) Beantworten

Okay, let me think about it. But there must be some misspelling or anything like that. Rumours like this do not start without any bases in fact. Do you have an explanation why this came out? --GraceKelly 20:22, 31. Okt. 2009 (CET)Beantworten
I discarded the statement. Whether it's right or wrong does not affect the article in its core. There's no easy way to find out why this story was invented in the mid-50s. --GraceKelly 23:47, 4. Nov. 2009 (CET)Beantworten
The English article now says that the word was a modification of the name of the Mocambo night-club. (nicht signierter Beitrag von 93.97.194.200 (Diskussion) 15:25, 12. Jul 2011 (CEST))
