« The name STP, from the motor oil company of the same name, was derived from "Scientifically Treated Petroleum". As a grade school kid in the late sixties, these stickers were hugely popular in my neighborhood (and around the country, as I found out later). I remember getting a hold of a bunch of these and selling them at school for 50 cents a piece. They were like gold to us kids. At that time, I was unaware of the drug reference, which I'm guessing is the reason it's on Blind Owl's guitar. »

Ich habe auch mit STP-Klebern gedealt, 1973-74. Jemand sagte mir auf meine Frage, was STP bedeute: Das hat was mit Motoren zu tun. Mehr wussten wir Bengel nicht.
