Hallo,

your moving of articles is, as far as I can see, not in accordance with our naming rules, even though you link to them when moving articles. I highly urge you to revert your changes or explain in more detail your reasoning for moving, otherwise other people will have to do it. Regards, --Asthma 15:44, 25. Aug 2006 (CEST)

Hello? Can you please respond to my criticism? --Asthma 14:45, 30. Aug 2006 (CEST)

Hi! You've done a lot of work with those movings. ;) Although we have the criterias for Japanese names, we can never really decide on how to name the articles, that's why there are articles with surname-name as well as name-surname. I don't really care, but if you move them to be name-surname, as it is normal in German, could you please write the surname-name version in italics after the name kanji? For example: "Yoshiki Hayashi (jap. 林佳樹 Hayashi Yoshiki, Künstlername..)" That would help the normal user to distinguish which version there is. --Franczeska 20:31, 30. Aug 2006 (CEST)

Your moving of articles

[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Please stop moving japanese person articles to the western name format. The guidelines which you cite say the exact opposite: the japanese format should be used insted, i.e. the family name first. --kukato 00:17, 12. Sep 2006 (CEST)

Please notice what they tell to you. The next time, we will will close your account because of Vandalism. Marcus Cyron Bücherbörse 14:08, 13. Sep 2006 (CEST)
Maybe he does not understand or does never look at this page? Vielleocht sollte ihn jemand in Japanisch auf seiner japanischen Benutzerseite darauf aufmerksam machen? --Franczeska 16:09, 17. Sep 2006 (CEST)

Hello! I am going to request you being blocked, since you are neither able to understand our guidelines nor willing to communicate and continue your nonsensical moving of articles. Regards, --Asthma 15:40, 25. Sep 2006 (CEST)

Why must I be blocked? I only moved Japanese name to Western order. Is it illegal? What's wrong? --Hatto 06:33, 3. Jan. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

There is no such thing as "Western order" in the naming policy for Japanese in the German wikipedia. In fact, most of your moving articles of articles is against our naming policy for Japanese, even though you especially link to it when performing your moves. This is unnerving and results in a lot of work in order to clean up after you.
Again, I demand that you stop moving articles here on the German wikipedia. It is obvious you do not understand the German language and you do not understand the content of our naming policies. If I see anymore moving of articles from you that go against our naming policy, I am going to have you blocked infinitely.
Regards, --Asthma 15:27, 19. Jan. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

Why is it wrong in spite of Western order in most of Japanese people articles? (For example, Haruki Murakami is not Murakami Haruki and Akira Kurosawa is not Kurosawa Akira in German wikipedia) I did it that I thought it was correct and better. I don't do it as an evil act! That is to say, it's NOT vandalism! I should not be blocked and you'd like to see my harmlessness! --Hatto 03:02, 20. Jan. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

I am not going to argue with you. Either you understand our policy and follow it (or dispute it in German on its talk page, but that would require you knowing German) or you are going to be blocked. --Asthma 06:25, 20. Jan. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

I need to say only this to you! I think Japanese name should be written in Western style (given name + family name) AT LEAST because this is not Japanese wikipedia. I don't think it's wrong. Additionally, must Japanese name be written as a naming policy in Japanese style (family name + given name) in German wikipedia? I don't think so because many Japanese people articles are named in Western style.--Hatto 03:16, 21. Jan. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

This is not the place to debate the policy (of which you still don't even know the content). Either accept what I said to you or learn the German language and engange in debating our policies on the apropriate talk pages. --Asthma 09:08, 21. Jan. 2007 (CET)Beantworten

Himuro Saeko – Stop Moving !

[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Stop moving this page! As you know it is not OK in the German Wikipedia to "Change to Western order" as you say. This "Western order" is existing only in your fantasy not in the German Wikipedia. --ThoR 03:15, 10. Jun. 2008 (CEST)Beantworten

No, Hatto was actually correct this time. According to our naming policies regarding Japanese, the names of people who were born in the Showa period or later are all sorted in the "western" order. --Asthma 03:33, 10. Jun. 2008 (CEST)Beantworten

Oku-Noto Triennale

[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Hello Hatto! I am writing an article about the Oku-Noto Triennale: https://oku-noto.jp/en/index-en.html The article is in German. I do not speak Japanese. I have some questions where Japanese is helpful. Can you help me? You can answer here:

@DomenikaBo: Nice to meet you! I have just learned about the "Oku-Noto Triennale" event for the first time. I am very sorry to say that I do not have any information about this event and I am afraid there is nothing I can do to help you.

Moreover, after doing some research, I found that the Japanese version of the article is not very comprehensive and I probably cannot help you as I do not have any information about this event.

The event seems to occur in Ishikawa Prefecture, but I've never been to Ishikawa and I have nothing to do with there because I'm from Kanagawa Prefecture, a long way from Ishikawa.

Why did you speak to me even though I know nothing about this event?

I think you should speak to the user who is editing the Japanese version of the article. --Hatto (Diskussion) 15:06, 27. Nov. 2022 (CET)Beantworten

Hello Hatto! Thank you for your answer! It is not neccessary that you know of the festival. My questions are more general.

  1. My first requests is: I want to send an E-Mail to the mayor of Suzu. I found the name of Masuhiro Izumiya, but I am not sure if he still is mayor. Can you research an official email-address of the city of Suzu?
  2. My second question is: Does this mean "Oku-Noto Triennale": 奥能登芸術祭

Thank you for your input! DomenikaBoAspie|Disk💬|WikiMUC||🎔 15:25, 27. Nov. 2022 (CET)Beantworten
@DomenikaBo: Thank you for your reply. I have just checked and found that the name of the Mayor of Suzu is Masuhiro Izumiya. Suzu City Hall's email address is also the one I checked, you can send them an email using this email form. However, the website is in Japanese, but will you still be able to? I would suggest sending an email using DeepL Translator.
And 奥能登芸術祭 means "Oku-Noto Triennale". To be precise, the festival is described as the '奥能登国際芸術祭', but '奥能登芸術祭' is also acceptable. '国際' is read as Kokusai in Japanese, meaning international. --Hatto (Diskussion) 15:52, 27. Nov. 2022 (CET)Beantworten
Hi Hatto! Thank you very much for your fast and helpful answer! I checked the form and Chrome+Google are my friends and translate the form. I can use it. And thank you for the translation! Now I can use it in my article.
May I come back to you, when I have more questions? In case you need German-help, don't hesitate to ask. Best Greetings DomenikaBoAspie|Disk💬|WikiMUC||🎔 16:08, 27. Nov. 2022 (CET)Beantworten
@DomenikaBo: Long time no see. Today I created an article about the Japanese heavy metal band Nemophila on the German Wikipedia by translating the English article using DeepL Translator and DeepL Write, but I am Japanese and do not understand German at all. Can you please check if the German is correct or not?--Hatto (Diskussion) 12:16, 28. Jan. 2023 (CET)Beantworten
Hi Hatto! So nice to hear from you! I've read your article and the German is impeccable! Deepl is hot sh*t! I am into Metal Music too and I really enjoyed the band!
One issue in the article I stumbled upon though was this: „When deciding the name, Mayu said that the word "sorai" came to her and seemed refreshing, but its meaning "was difficult, so we tried to soften it."“ As a reader I am curious what „sorai“ means and why they wanted to soften it. If you could include a translation for „sorai“, it would be great!
By the way: My Oku-Noto article is still in progress, as I am trying to include some images. A nice guy from a German artists office is trying to help me, but the process is tortuous... Keep your fingers crossed for me! DomenikaBoAspie|Disk💬|WikiMUC||🎔 19:43, 28. Jan. 2023 (CET)Beantworten
@DomenikaBo: It is actually a translation of "Sorai", but even I, being Japanese, have never used the Japanese word "Sorai". In the lyrics of "Sorai", the Japanese kanji for "爽籟" appears, and when I looked up the meaning, I found that it means "秋風のさわやかなひびき。 (the refreshing crack of the autumn wind)". It comes up as. Basically, it seems to be used as an archaic word, not a modern word. Am I answering your questions correctly?--Hatto (Diskussion) 08:24, 29. Jan. 2023 (CET)Beantworten
A very poetic word though. Hard to translate. So could I add a translation in the German article saying, that it is an old word which appr. translates to "the refreshing crack of the autumn wind" = Der erfrischende Klang der Herbstbrise.? Would that be correct? --DomenikaBoAspie|Disk💬|WikiMUC||🎔 16:38, 29. Jan. 2023 (CET)Beantworten
Of course it's good!--Hatto (Diskussion) 13:08, 30. Jan. 2023 (CET)Beantworten

Idol

[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Hello @Hatto: Thank you very much for your correction of the article about the Yoasobi song Idol. I really appreciate your help. Would you mind to check the article time by time for mistake I made? --Goroth Redebedarf? :-) 15:00, 15. Jun. 2023 (CEST)Beantworten

@Goroth: I'm Japanese, so I don't understand German, but as far as I can tell, there were no mistakes in the Japanese ("yatta" and "yatto" were the only mistakes) in the Idol article. --Hatto (Diskussion) 15:22, 15. Jun. 2023 (CEST)Beantworten
Thank you anyways for your help. :-) I may ask other writers in German-languaged Wikipedia in the future (thinking about the End of 2023) for proof reading. I am thinking about nominating the article for the discussion as a readable article in the near future (maybe next year). I want to wait for the Oricon chart position and possible Awards nominations. --Goroth Redebedarf? :-) 15:26, 15. Jun. 2023 (CEST)Beantworten
